Your Android device can hold all kinds of media from
alerts, movies, music, notifications, photos and ringtones
This guide will help you organize your media so it will show up in the correct areas such as ringtone selection and also make it easy to backup. you do not have to make the folders exactly in the same structure, it is only meant as a guide.
Two things are needed,
The first is any size microSD card, second is a good file browser such as ES File Explorer.
After inserting the SD card and installing and running ES File Explorer you should be in the /sdcard folder
In that folder make folders like this:
Media this folder contains the following folders
Notifications MP3 used for text messages, emails
Ringtones MP3 used for phone ring sound
Music
Photos
Videos
Now you can copy the media to the specific folders by DropBox, SwiFTP, or simple USB.
By keeping your media folders in the top folder Media, you can simply backup that folder and all your customizations will be saved in case your phone or SD card are lost or damaged.
